keep the spirit

Soon as I, pick up my pen, I begin my flow,

Damn I feel more like great Nile river flow,

I am making this place all wet outa my flow
I close my eyes then write rhymes let it flow

I was once in a mission to keep CDs flow

Well, I am still here trying to fill net
I do my crime with baking soda, with no stench
Pull out ideas in the form of rhyme

I said before this was rhyme and reason, no question

I am in a 254 state of mind, you dig!

Just because I rock, don’t mean I’m made of stone

Sometime I wish the day had 40 hours on it

I’d still be young and hustling, not worrying

We say age is a number, but for real its checking in

I can run around as I used to, things have changed
one thing I know I got wiser and better like kept wine.

Yeah I am father and for sure I love that,

My son’s grown almost telling how ghetto he is

I will remind him how I was ghetto and raised him not to be

I don’t ever want to MIA to him, be there and have fun

For sure he was transmitted and in him I find true revelation

my sweet family I get the many times a day
it doesn’t matter who says what I am good as hay
I make my son’s better each and every day
Me, me, me make life better in every way
My wife will confess of this even thru the month of May
this is my family and I cant get enough words to say
A see the world of messed up stuff but I got to stay
I know I am a winner by making and comes without a say
I will fly up and let the whole world of the goodness
I will thrive and be on the top of the world’s goodness

I am poet coz I chose to be one,

I may not be riding on charts being number one,

But in my small world I stand at number one,

I stand above the best and come second to none,

I am more like the wind when you need it to sail,

I am more than what a bitch puts on her face as veil,

You wonder why they cover themselves just proof that it’s a bad thing.

I take over more than the mapinduzi 82’,

I picture myself will one day be rolling with them 22’.

I live like a legend coz in my world I make it big like the 82’s;

I will kick freestyles and even sell them to any bitch nigga who feel like some.

I pimp rhymes and not bitches coz rhymes don’t fail a nigga any day.

You pick lines and drop them like manner from heaven.

I am more like a cloud giving rain but mine is not water,

But rhymes which flow like water from the Nile,

I give life just like the same way like the Nile.

I am source of wisdom and knowledge you can trust that each day.

I blaze hot like a furnace coz that is who I am and…

I know it does make feel good to set some beat a blaze.

people say home is where are and you make it homley
to me home is where you were born and raised
you identify better with where you from
i was born in the city where life's so fast
raised in the city where nothing seems to be fast
then went back to the big city and made it first
nothing can compare with the feeling i get at home
came here thinking it would be home but how wrong was I
i cant trade the feeling of being home over anything
i have come to appreciate where am from
the city where people never sleep but work all day
it explains why our economy is on the rise
we have raised dead firms placed them on a level and life's nice
i feel more like the way Game taked of where his from
i am blessed to be part of the RGB and white
and i will always ID myself with that any day
i for sure miss home and cant wait to be there again for keeps
