The world we want
Most persons have an ideal land and government that will assist in the building of the nation. For start we fall behind in several things and after colonization the whites believed we could take care of the land well, due to the fact that we were in fights with them the struggle for independence. When they gave up and let us take care of our selves we failed doing that, instead we fight ourselves, we don’t trust ourselves and we don’t care any more.
We all think of a blessed day, many writers have wished for it and even rote it for the world outside there to see, for instance Ken Walibora’s “Siku Njema” he talked of a fearless world, a world you are free and there is no need to worry, a world of love and all care in the place. A musician by name Kizzy Dagga sang a song “Siku Njema” expressing his fears of the present world, a world you fear even phone calls for it may deliver a bad news, and he wishes to be a magician the perform magic and make a safe world. A world with better hospitals all over, a world where the police protect and not instill fear, a world where the politicians are like Catholics think of good and do good. A world of hope for the coming generations, a world disease free and germ free, a world with no slums but average living standards for all the natives, world of no war but peace prevailing in the land. The politics played a major role in not making this possible at any one given time.
Nastrudumus popularly known as Nas sang of a New World, a world with a new dawn with nothing goes old; ideas are to develop unity and not separation. Families built on trust and love. We should not develop computers and things of the kind but life is still not at balance. At glance the gap of poverty and the rich is too wide. It’s that kind of world we want for us all. The world we want is possible but it needs time to be there, besides the person who will spearhead this thot. If we had jobs and nice ones there would be no thugs and there would be no police for fight crime. It all starts from the education system, if it was done well and all goes to school, making it a requirement to be in school for children it would give sense to the people. Making it favorable for investment both local and international, there would be jobs for us, the red tape idea not being there would be a perfect state for all of us.
With the making good roads, we would never spend so much on transport making living cost fall and making life better. With better sanitation in the society there would be no need for hospitals, maybe for births and other complications. There would never be out breaks of these funny diseases. All these things can be achieved and they are being practiced and worked so well why can’t we do that? It’s a dream I know but it can be done and done well, a safe world with no worries over anything, a world with no street children but hope from the safe streets. Be like the sesame street which gives joy to the natives. The people at the moment can’t give this dream nor initiate it so we will always be the way we are. Besides the damage has been done and can’t be reversed so even if we get some one to assist in getting to the dream then it will be a difficult job. The levels of poverty are too high and getting from that pit is hard for it needs more than dedication and commitment to work for that goal.
We want to wake up in a different world some day, a day with no stress, no police no sickness, no theft, or any need for security for it will be so safe. A world with no slums, no poverty, a land of possibilities and opportunities for every mankind in the region, a land of no tribalism or ethnicity and a world of love and care for one another. That’s the world we want free from all the wrong things we see each day. All these are possible by just getting the right leaders then we can move towards getting to that point. We can not be in the agenda for every meeting, always looking for ways of solving the problems we create for our selves. Let’s not abuse the strength we have inside of us. We are a strong race and we should not work towards destroying each other, but to work for each other success and freedom from the financial strains.
